Earthlands, a local environmental organization, local renewable energy advocates, and Nipmuk Cultural Preservation Inc. of Oakham are sponsoring an estate and tag sale on Saturday & Sunday, November 5-6, 2016 from 8:00 a.m.to 2 p.m.on the Petersham South Common to benefit the Standing Rock Sioux campaign and local environmental education initiatives.

The majority of the proceeds from the Tag Sale and donations will go directly to the Indigenous Tribes at Standing Rock to help purchase supplies, advance education, and defray legal fees in their fight against the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL), with the balance used in local “clean water” education and initiatives. Visitors will be able to learn more about the Standing Rock Campaign and make direct donations.

Residents of the region may donate good quality collectible, antique, and usable items to the Tag Sale. Will Moses, head caretaker at Earthlands and facilitator of the estate and tag sale said, “Short of physically going to Standing Rock, this is a tangible way we in the Quabbin Region can show our support and our willingness to educate our neighbors around local energy and water issues “. For information call Will Moses directly at (802) 370-2443 or e-mail larrybuell@earthlands.org.
