July 14-18 — Stop the Pipelines – Special Summer Mobilization in Massachusetts

A March and action against new gas pipelines.  Marchers will spend two days walking the route of Spectra’s proposed Access Northeast pipeline. People will march to West Roxbury to shut down construction on the Spectra pipeline there, alongside our partners from Resist the Pipeline. Finally, we’ll walk together to the State House, and act together to show Governor Baker, and legislators, that we’re ready to do what it takes to stop new fossil fuel pipelines.

FUNDRAISING —  The costs for the legal work continues as groups work to get FERC to deny and kill the Kinder Morgan NED project (and not just suspend it)  at this important time.  Please Read the fund-raising appeal from North Quabbin Pipeline Action below.  It is a simple way we can all help with all the efforts to STOP THE PIPELINE.

NORTH QUABBIN PIPELINE ACTION – Athol, MA          —                2016 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Dear friends – To do our fair share in funding the substantial (6-figure) costs of waging and winning the anti-NED pipeline campaign–mainly legal and technical expenses but also for more direct action–NQPA has committed to a goal of raising at least $10,000 in 2016. That is a lot more than we have raised to date. And we have a simple, effective and painless way for you and people you know to help us succeed royally.

Here it is: Everyone commits to making a $2 donation each month and getting 10 people they know to do the same–and those 10 people each get 10 people to do the same, etc. Brilliant, right? And foolproof.

You can use PayPal or a major credit card to pay online at millerswatershed.org by clicking on the “NQPA Donation” tab. Or send a check made out to NQPA to Millers River Watershed Council, 100 Main Street, Athol, MA 01331.

Of course, we welcome donations of any size–and we thank you in advance for making this fundraising campaign a major success! Please share with everyone you know!
